PIER Disease Modules
- The disease-based modules are PIER's core. Each disease module presents a series of succinct practice recommendations, supported by rationale and pertinent evidence.
- Disease modules also include links to:
- A comprehensive drug resource, accessible directly and through drug therapy tables
- PubMed abstracts and the full text of selected references
- Other ACP knowledge resources including guidelines, Medical Knowledge Self-Assessment Program, Annals of Internal Medicine, ACP Journal Club
- Other resources such as Clinical Evidence, Cochrane Reviews, and other guidelines and Web resources
- In addition, tables, figures, algorithms, and video and audio clips are included.
- Disease modules are structured uniformly to facilitate the clinical workflow.
- Tabular material is standardized to allow easy access to information.
