PIER Disease Modules The disease-based modules are PIER's core. Each disease module presents a series of succinct practice recommendations, supported by rationale and pertinent evidence. Disease modules also include links to: A comprehensive drug resource, accessible directly and through drug therapy tables PubMed abstracts and the full text of selected references Other ACP knowledge resources including guidelines, Medical Knowledge Self-Assessment Program, Annals of Internal Medicine, ACP Journal Club Other resources such as Clinical Evidence, Cochrane Reviews, and other guidelines and Web resources In addition, tables, figures, algorithms, and video and audio clips are included.
