Hospitalize patients when injuries dictate or the patient requires surgical intervention or medical or psychiatric stabilization. C

  • Hospitalize patients who have experienced sexual assault:
    • When they suffer traumatic injuries that require inpatient care or are suffering from a medical condition that warrants inpatient management
    • Who are in danger of retaliation from the suspected perpetrator and whose safety cannot be assured with other options
    • Under an assumed name in accordance with general safe practice for victims of violent crime who require medical attention
