  • Consult a hand surgeon for evaluation of all human hand bites resulting from a clenched fist or occlusional bite to assess the integrity of the joint capsule and evaluate for tendon damage.
  • Consult a plastic surgeon for evaluation of head and neck bites to help determine the depth of injury and degree of damage to underlying structures.
  • Consult a vascular surgeon for deep bite wounds with possible vascular compromise.
